We are looking for an experienced Research Analyst with experience in healthcare services to join our US Equity team.  As a Research Analyst at Lazard Asset Management, you will work as part of the Healthcare Research team and your day-to-day activities will include: Primary research of the healthcare services industry,  frequent interaction with senior management of companies being analyzed, financial analysis and modeling of companies under your coverage and investment recommendations to LAM’s Portfolio Managers. 

Key Responsibilities

·    Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of sector, and the companies within them, on an operational and financial level including their competitive position and how they operate within their industry

·    Build financial models, analyze financial performance, returns on capital and valuation.

·    Conduct meetings with competitors/customers/suppliers, reading trade press, visiting trade shows etc

·    Work within a global research team to ensure relevant insights are shared between geographies and sectors.

·    Regularly produce research reports updating investment teams on recent events or results at the companies covered, and constantly monitor stock recommendations.

·    Communicate insights generated from the research process throughout the Team and to be leveraged across LAM’s portfolios

·     3-7 years of experience as an equity analyst (buy-side experience required)  

·     Prior research experience covering US Healthcare companies

·     Excellent financial, analytical, modeling (Excel) and communication skills

·     Self-motivated, competitive and/or entrepreneurial with a genuine interest in investing

·     Good team player with a willingness to leverage the Firm’s global capabilities and resources

·     Ability to make sound investment decisions based on excellent numerical and analytical skills

·     Strong understanding of security valuation

·     Able to present written and verbal information in a clear and concise manner

·     Willingness to travel (primarily US)

·     CFA Preferred
