At Lazard, Analysts typically work as part of small client teams which provide a wide range of services, including general financial advice, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, special committee assignments, takeover defenses, corporate restructuring, strategic partnerships/joint ventures, advice on capital structure, and underwriting.  Day-to-day activities of Analysts include: financial analysis and modeling, the creation and preparation of client presentations, and interaction with clients, among other things.


In the Houston office, our Analysts work primarily within Lazard’s Global Power, Energy and Infrastructure Group and can expect to be staffed on projects for clients in the energy industry, including: Oil & Gas Exploration and Production, Midstream, Refining & Marketing, Renewables & Energy Transition, and Oilfield Services. 



  • Top academic performer who is comfortable in an unstructured environment which values initiative, creativity, maturity, and poise

  • One year of Investment Banking and/or Oil&Gas industry experience required
  • In addition, the Houston office is looking for candidates with strong interest in the energy industry
